Innovo Networks Review
A Western Cape business that sells you the phone system, the line it runs on, the firewall in front of it and the people who fix all three. This review looks at what that costs, what they will actually put in writing, and where you should push before you sign.
Is Innovo Networks worth shortlisting?
With caveats, yes. Innovo puts extension prices on a public page at a time when most South African suppliers will not commit to a number, and it is unusual in selling the phone system and the line it runs on as one accountable package. The trade-off is how much of the commercial picture stays behind a sales call. Get the full rate card in writing before you measure Innovo against anyone else.

One supplier for the phones, the line and the laptops
Innovo has been trading since 2013 and sells across six lines: hosted PBX and contact centre, business fibre with licensed microwave and 5G failover, managed security with its own round-the-clock operations centre, Azure, AWS and Huawei Cloud, applied AI including voice agents, and managed IT down to the cabling. For a business tired of three suppliers blaming each other at 9am on a Monday, that consolidation is the real product.
The caveat is evidence rather than capability. Three phone tiers are shown and then marked indicative, subject to a call. Call rates, once-off charges, contract length and handset terms are not shown at all, and connectivity is quote-only. The company promises a port over a single weekend with numbers kept, which is a strong operational claim that nothing public verifies.
Commercially this suits a business buying a bundle, not a business buying the cheapest extension.

Pros and watch-outs
What Innovo does well, and where to push back at quote stage.
Pros
- Three phone tiers priced openly, which lets you build a rough monthly figure before you speak to anyone
- Call recording and analytics arrive at the middle tier rather than being sold as an upgrade later
- Genuine single-supplier scope, so a voice fault on a line they installed does not become a dispute between vendors
- Security is staffed rather than sold as software, with a 24/7 operations centre behind the tooling
- A bank of 68 support answers written out in full, which is unusual depth for a business of this size
Watch-outs
- Those tiers are labelled indicative, so treat them as a starting point and not a quote
- No call rates anywhere, and that is the number that decides your real monthly bill
- Contract term, once-off setup and handset terms are all held back until you ask
- Connectivity carries no rate card at all, so voice and line costs have to be separated by hand
- Thirty-six public reviews on one platform is a thin base to judge service from, however good the average
Score breakdown
Four categories that decide whether Innovo earns a slot on your shortlist.
R49, R99 and R149 per extension are set out openly, which most South African suppliers will not do. Held back because the tiers are qualified as indicative, and call rates, once-off setup and contract terms appear nowhere.
Hosted PBX, contact centre queues, Teams Direct Routing, fibre, licensed microwave, failover, managed detection with a 24/7 operations centre, three hyperscale clouds, AI voice and managed IT. Held back because breadth is evidenced and depth is not.
4,5 across 36 Google reviews on a single listing whose address and phone match the company site, with no duplicate listings on the same number. Held back on volume, not sentiment, and on there being only one platform to read.
A stated 99,9% availability SLA, 1 200+ businesses served since 2013, its own operations centre and engineers on call at any hour. Held back because that figure carries no service credit or measurement basis behind it.

What real customers say
Unedited Google reviews from Innovo’s Milnerton listing, which averages 4,5 across 36 reviews.
“My company has been a client of Innovo Networks for nearly a decade. During this time, they have provided excellent support for our telecommunications and internet requirements.”
“Working with Innovo Networks as a supplier has been an exceptional experience. Innovo Networks demonstrates a commitment to excellence in every aspect of their operations, from clear communication to efficient processes.”
“Innovo Networks has been a fantastic partner. Their communication and service are consistently excellent, and we are always more than happy to work with them. They are professional, dependable, and truly excel in what they do.”
Read the sample with its size in mind. Thirty-six reviews is a small base, the company has no HelloPeter presence, and management replies to reviewers by name, which lifts a feed. The rating is good. The evidence behind it is thin.
The Innovo product line
What you can actually put on the contract.
Hosted PBX and contact centre
Softphone, desk phone and mobile apps on one system. An omni-channel contact centre puts voice, WhatsApp and email in a single queue with recording, IVR and wallboards. Microsoft Teams Direct Routing puts external calling on your existing numbers inside the app your staff already have open.
Fibre, microwave and failover
Dedicated and broadband business fibre with symmetrical and uncontended options, licensed microwave for sites fibre cannot reach, and automatic 5G or LTE failover with bonded links.
The rest of the stack
Managed detection on every endpoint with a 24/7 operations centre, dark web credential monitoring and immutable backups. Azure, AWS and Huawei Cloud migration and management, billed in rand. Structured cabling, switching and a full help desk.
Choose Innovo if
- You are replacing several suppliers with one and want a single number to call
- Your people need queues and recording rather than plain extensions
- You have sites that fibre does not reach and need microwave or failover engineered in
- Security and IT support matter as much to you as the dial tone
Consider another if
- You want a full rate card, call rates included, in the open before you make contact
- Price per seat is the number you are optimising
- You need a long public service record to satisfy a procurement process
- You only want voice, and would rather buy from a specialist that does nothing else
Alternatives to compare
Three providers worth quoting alongside Innovo, each stress-testing a different decision driver.
Switch Telecom
The highest-scoring hosted PBX in this category on our site. Quote it if voice depth matters more to you than a bundle.
Centracom
Covers all five categories we score, so it tests the same one-supplier logic from a different starting point. Quote it if breadth is what you are buying.
Axxess
Scores level with Innovo from a very different starting point. Quote it if your buying decision comes down to entry price.
South African essentials
Four local signals to verify before signing.
Innovo shows no licence number, and on its own that tells you nothing. ICASA licenses by tier: an ECNS licence covers running your own network, class for a single municipality and individual for provincial or national scope; an ECS licence covers providing the service; and a company reselling services bought from an upstream provider operates under an ECS licence exemption, which carries no number at all. Ask Innovo which of the three applies to them.
A class ECS licence does not carry the right to draw numbers from the national numbering plan. If you are porting geographic numbers, ask whether the numbers come through Innovo directly or through an upstream partner, and get the porting timeline in writing.
Innovo states a 99,9% availability SLA, which is a different promise from how fast anyone answers you. Support runs at all hours, remote and on site, with no response or resolution time on record. Ask for the service credit behind that figure, and for a response-time commitment in writing.
Minimum term, notice period and renewal behaviour appear nowhere in the open. Settle all three before signing, along with what happens to any handsets at the end.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Innovo Networks cost per month?
Three tiers are shown, ex VAT: R49, R99 and R149 per extension per month. Innovo describes these as indicative and confirms final pricing on a call, so treat them as a planning figure. Call rates and once-off costs have to be asked for.
Can Innovo keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. The company states that numbers are kept and positions migration as a single-weekend cutover with no downtime. Ask for the porting timeline in writing, and confirm whether numbers are held directly or through an upstream partner.
Is Innovo Networks ICASA licensed?
No licence number appears on the site, which is neither unusual nor automatically a concern. ICASA licenses by tier, and a company reselling services from an upstream provider operates under an ECS licence exemption rather than holding a licence number. Ask which tier applies before you sign.
Does Innovo work with Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Direct Routing is included from the middle tier, which lets staff make and take external calls on your existing numbers without leaving the app.
Where is Innovo Networks based?
The Forum, North Bank Lane, Milnerton, trading since 2013. Support is offered remotely and on site, at all hours.
Can Innovo supply our internet as well as our phones?
Yes, and that is the main reason to shortlist them. Business fibre, licensed microwave and automatic failover are sold alongside the phone system, so one supplier is accountable when a call quality problem turns out to be a line problem.
