Your Communications Review
Your Communications is a Durban internet and telephony provider that sells fibre, its own microwave wireless and LTE, with hosted PABX on top. Home packages carry public prices, business lines are quoted, and you can leave on a calendar month’s notice. It suits a KwaZulu-Natal or East Rand business that wants one local supplier for internet and phones. It is a weaker fit if you need a written uptime commitment before you sign.
Is Your Communications a good internet provider?
For a small or mid-sized business near one of its three offices, it is worth a quote. It holds Class ECNS and ECS licences, lets you cancel on a calendar month’s notice, and its Google listing is rated 4.9. Ask two things in writing before you sign: the business price with VAT shown, and what happens when the line goes down, because the website publishes no uptime figure or repair-time commitment.

A local, well-reviewed connectivity and voice supplier that keeps its business prices private
Your Communications (Pty) Ltd runs from Riverhorse Valley in Durban, with a South Coast office in Amanzimtoti and a Johannesburg office in Benoni. It delivers broadband over fibre, microwave wireless or LTE, with business options from 10 Mbps to 500 Mbps that it describes as uncapped, unthrottled and symmetrical. Fibre runs on partner networks, and the wireless side is its own network, which the company says has built-in failover. On top of connectivity it sells hosted and on-premise PABX, printers, PaperCut print management and IT services.
The contract terms are friendlier than many business ISPs. You can cancel at any time with a full calendar month’s notice, a Minimum Term does not restart when the service renews, and if prices rise you may leave without penalty. The catch is installation: cancel inside a Minimum Term and you repay a pro-rata share of any installation cost the company covered.
What keeps the score at 6.5 is what a buyer cannot check from the website: business fibre and wireless are quoted per site, the home prices do not say whether VAT is included, and there is no published uptime figure or service level.

Pros and watch-outs
What Your Communications does well, and what to settle before the installer arrives.
- ICASA Class ECNS and ECS licence copies are linked from every page footer
- Cancel any time on a calendar month’s notice, and a renewal does not restart the Minimum Term
- Fibre, wireless and LTE from one supplier, so a second line can run on a different technology
- Hosted PABX with number porting, mobile extensions and call recording alongside the internet line
- Support on WhatsApp, phone, email and a ticket portal, with offices in three towns
- No business internet prices on the website; every business line is quoted
- The home package prices do not say whether VAT is included, while the Terms quote amounts excluding VAT
- Cancelling inside a Minimum Term means repaying part of the installation cost
- No uptime percentage or service level is published, and downtime caused by third parties or power cuts is not refunded
- Arrears carry 2% interest a month, and a returned debit order costs R100 excluding VAT
Score breakdown
Five categories, weighted and added up, so you can see exactly where the 6.5 comes from.
Home fibre and wireless show “from” prices, starting at R499 for 30 Mbps fibre, and cancellation needs only a month’s notice. Held back because business lines are quote-only, the VAT basis is not stated and early exit carries an installation clawback.
Three access technologies, business speeds from 10 to 500 Mbps, and a full voice range with hosted and on-premise PABX. Capped because no static IP, SLA tier or router specification is published.
4.9 on Google from 322 reviews in our September sample. Held below what the average alone would give because only a handful of recent reviews could be read, and they speak about staff rather than the network.
Its own wireless network with stated failover, and backup-powered high sites and dual-grid data centres. Held back because none of this comes with an uptime figure, and fibre depends on partner networks.
WhatsApp, phone, email and a ticket portal, local offices, and reviewers who name the people who helped them. Capped because phone support runs weekdays 08:00 to 17:00 and no response time is published.

What real customers say
Unedited Google reviews from the Your Communications listing in Riverhorse Valley, which averages 4.9 across 322 reviews.
“A huge thank you to Elisabeth, Jorden, Jayden, and the entire South Coast branch for making the installation process such a breeze.”
“What stands out most is that you’re not treated like just another account number — the team genuinely makes an effort to assist, communicate clearly, and find solutions when issues come up.”
“He took the time to explain the options available, answered all my questions clearly…”
A 4.9 average across more than 300 ratings is a strong signal that customers like dealing with the team. Keep its limits in mind: the recent reviews we could read are all four or five stars, most thank a named salesperson or installer, and none of them says anything about uptime or how a fault was handled. Read it as evidence of good service at sign-up and installation rather than proof of network reliability.
What Your Communications sells
Three product lines, usually bought together by the businesses it targets.
Fibre, wireless or LTE
Broadband over fibre on partner networks, its own microwave wireless network or LTE, with business options from 10 Mbps to 500 Mbps. The company describes its lines as uncapped, unthrottled, without a fair use policy and with symmetrical upload and download.
Hosted or on-premise PABX
A cloud PABX priced per user, with a mobile extension, free calls between linked offices, voicemail to email and call recording, or a PABX installed on site. Numbers can be ported, and calls are billed per second.
Print, IT and financing
The same team sells printers, PaperCut print management and IT services, and offers business financing, so an office can put connectivity, phones and printing on one supplier.
Choose Your Communications if
- Your office is in greater Durban, on the KZN South Coast or on the East Rand
- You want internet and a hosted PABX on one account, with one team to call
- You value leaving on a month’s notice over a locked-in discount
- You want a wireless or LTE line as backup to fibre from the same supplier
Consider another if
- You need a published SLA with uptime and repair times before you buy
- You want to compare business prices online without asking for a quote
- You need after-hours phone support rather than weekday office hours
- Your premises are far from Durban and Benoni and you prefer a provider with local technicians

South African essentials
Four local signals to check before you sign the application form.
Your Communications publishes copies of Class ECNS licence 0816/CECNS/MAR/2017 and Class ECS licence 0816/CECS/MAR/2017, both issued to Your Communications (Pty) Ltd in March 2017.
Fibre depends on which partner network reaches your building, and wireless on a clear line to a high site. Put your address into its coverage check and ask which network the quote runs on.
The company says its high sites run on backup power and its data centres on two grids. That does not cover your own router and PABX, so budget for a UPS at your premises.
Amounts in the Terms exclude VAT, while the home package prices do not say. Disputes on an invoice must be raised in writing within three calendar days of receiving it.
