The voice line inside Kinetix Group, a South African office-technology business with more than twenty years of trading, 1,200-plus customers and offices in Centurion, Fourways, Cape Town and Durban.
Kinetix Connect sells Managed Voice (SIP), Hosted PBX, Dedicated Cloud PBX and a contact-centre solution, primarily on the 3CX platform, alongside managed print, cybersecurity, networking and connectivity from the same group. Pricing is quote-based: there is no public per-extension or per-channel rate, and the contact-centre features sit on the 3CX Pro and AI editions, which 3CX licenses per system by simultaneous calls. It scores 7.1/10 in our review – support is its strongest dimension at 7.8, backed by a 4.9-star Google listing across 52 reviews; pricing value is its weakest at 6.5 because a buyer cannot benchmark a seat price before the first sales call.

Strength: Connectivity and voice from a single vertically integrated carrier with a 24/7 service desk, sourcing access across more than 50 networks – the strongest reliability score in this comparison at 9.2, on a Cloudcall hosted PBX that bills per second with no minimum call charge.
Watch-out: Pricing is quote-based, so there is no published per-line rate to compare up front – the same starting point as Kinetix – and its public Google rating runs low on a pattern dominated by cold-call complaints from non-customers rather than service issues from clients.

Innovo Networks – a published seat price from one supplier
Strength: A published Hosted PBX price – R49 per extension per month (Starter), R99 (Custom) adding call recording, analytics and Teams Direct Routing, R149 (Enterprise) adding the omni-channel contact centre – sold with the business fibre, licensed microwave and 5G failover it runs on, by one Milnerton company trading since 2013 with 24/7 support.
Watch-out: The seat price is public but the rest is not: SIP trunks and Teams routing are quoted, call rates, once-off charges and contract length are not shown, and the phone tiers are marked indicative. Get the full rate card in writing before you compare.

Switch Telecom – the lowest full-stack cost
Strength: A published hosted switchboard at R260 per ten extensions a month with no installation fee and month-to-month terms – an effective R26 per extension, the lowest verified entry point in this group, run on its own ICASA-licensed voice network. It also sells Microsoft Teams Direct Routing and SIP trunks from R100 for four channels, so it can be the carrier under a 3CX system as easily as a replacement for one.
Watch-out: The switchboard needs a SIP trunk on top, charged separately from R100 a month, and calls are billed on usage – so price your real minutes rather than the headline rate.
I continue to be impressed with the wonderful service from Switch Telecom. Good personal service is rare these days.

Our verdict
Kinetix Connect earns its place on support and on the vendor relationship, and a business that already buys print, networking or security from the group has a real reason to keep voice there too. Compare when one priority clearly outweighs that: a rate card you can check before you buy (Innovo, Switch), carrier-owned reliability (Centracom), or the lowest full-stack cost (Switch). If you do switch, your geographic and 087 numbers port for a small once-off fee, and a 3CX licence you own can move with you.
