Telkom Business is in the midst of a promotional campaign, with the SME and enterprise-focused arm of the telecommunication services provider looking to bring more customers onboard to its Unlimited 25Mbps Business Fibre package.
While the promo would not normally pique our interest, the challenge that Telkom Business is laying down, does. To that end the company will offer 120GB of free data, valid for six months, if it is unable to beat your fixed-line quote.
“Telkom Business is willing to beat any fixed line, internet quote and invoice. If we cannot beat your quotes, your business will receive free 120GB data valid for six months,” the company confirmed in a press release sent to Hypertext.
The organisation’s official website is also emblazoned with the same promo and challenge.
Free data is nothing to sneer at, especially for South Africa where the cost of data is significantly more than for our European or American counterparts.
As such, SMEs or enterprises who believe Telkom Business cannot beat their quote are encouraged to email it to beatmyquote[at]telkom[dot]co[dot]za.
With the pandemic forcing many employees to work remotely and often absorb connectivity and data costs themselves, it looks like that may be changing soon, as some offices begin to open up again to allow for a full return or some form of hybrid working.
Either way, it looks like the SME segment will prove crucial for Telkom Business moving forward.
“SMEs play an essential role in the domestic economy and Telkom Business is committed to helping these businesses to thrive by providing the suitable fixed connectivity tools and voice solutions that are affordable and will help them to thrive in a digital world,” added Makgosi Mabaso, managing executive for SMB and Broadband at Telkom.
Hopefully more of these offers and challenges are in the offing then.
